Railway crossings

You must always give way to trains at railway crossings.

Be especially vigilant at crossings with no barriers or lights.

• All railway crossings are potentially dangerous.Ensure you check the way is clear before crossing.
• If there is a vehicle in front of you, wait until that vehicle is clear of the crossing before you drive across.
• Never stop on railway lines,even if there are no trains.
• Sometimes there are unscheduled trains,so never rely on a timetable.
